Thanks for having us, Kelowna!
This year's Regional Conference brought us to the Okanagan Valley for three days of intense discussion and learning about the issues facing workers in the region.
And it couldn't have come at a more important time: A newly re-elected BC NDP government and a federal election under way. The threat of Trump's tariffs. And the ongoing struggles many of us still have to pay for the essentials, find good homes we can afford and access the services we need.
We talked about our recent victories, the work ahead of us and how we'll keep moving forward together. We discussed...
- reconciliation with Indigenous peoples
- how we win progressive victories at all levels of government
- how grassroots groups are building solidarity and making a difference in our communities
- how young workers are making waves in our workplaces and in our movement
- how workers' voices are helping to shape provincial initiatives to fight racism, increase accessibility and justice for people with disabilities, and ensure the right to strike stays meaningful
- the impact of climate disruptions on working people
...and much more.
Thank you to everyone who came, shared your perspectives and made Regional Conference 2025 such a success!
