The BCFED’s annual Regional Conference will be held this year June 21 to 24 in the Comox Valley in combination with 33rd Miners Memorial Weekend and the 100th anniversary of the death of labour organizer Ginger Goodwin.
With the theme of Level the Playing Field, the conference offers participants the chance to learn about current challenges the labour movement is tackling, and the how labour has helped shape the local history in the Comox Valley over the last century.

The conference offers a mix of informative plenaries, inspiring speakers, and skill-building workshops all linked to our theme, Level the Playing Field.
Events kick off the afternoon of Thursday, June 21, with plenaries and workshops set for Friday, June 22. The conference focus shifts to Miners Memorial Weekend activities for Saturday, June 23 and, optionally, Sunday, June 24.

Accommodations and logistics
Accommodations are at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, with conference proceedings happening on the mountain on Thursday June 21 afternoon and evening, and Friday June 22 during the day.
Friday evening and Saturday, we will transport participants to the Miners Memorial activities organized by the Cumberland Museum and Historical Society down in the Village of Cumberland.
