The Western Regional Summer Institute for Union Women, "Equity. Justice. Reconcili-action: Building worker power through Intersectional feminism and activism," will take place July 2-6, 2019, at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The 2019 SIUW will be held in the Orchard Commons at UBC. See SIUW at UBC map. UBC is only 20 minutes by car to downtown or the airport. The address is 6363 Agronomy Road on the UBC Campus in Vancouver. The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is Canada's second busiest airport. The city centre is easily accessible by public transit with many bus routes offering frequent service.

Onsite registration will begin at 3:00 pm on July 2nd at the Orchard Event Space in Orchard Commons.
Accommodations (for most participants) will be located at the UBC’s Orchard Commons which is a short walking distance to the Totem Cafeteria. Check-in begins at 3:00 pm at the front desk.
Limited on-site parking is available for registered participants staying at the UBC accommodations for SIUW 2019. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and is subject to a daily fee. See UBC parking map.
Fitness facilities at UBC for SIUW
Fitness facilities are available for the SIUW at the Bird Coop and ARC Fitness Centres.
